Some people like sweet. Some people like bitter. Some people like bitter sweet. You would say the latter have it more complicated because they search in between. It might seem they cannot decide, however they have already decided to like both. You might think they can get more disappointment because they risk not to find the right balance. And probably they do sometimes. On the other hand they are not stucked on one taste. They can embrace the difference and contradiction. They can be happy with whatever comes. They will not search for ideal combination. They know that 2 elements can never be combined to create a perfectly patterned match (unless you are a zebra and even so…). The ingredients can complement each other, one can be more pervasive one day, the other the following day. For bitter sweet lovers together means much more than singled out. And therefore one is two, two are one. Alliance of “straight” and “twisted”, “missing” and “complete”. Isn’t living equally composed of the opposites?
Bitter sweet makes me also think about chocolate and the famous quote “Life was like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are gonna get.” The point is how do you appreciate what you get? How do you treat what you get? What do you think about what you are getting? What do you think about what you are losing? Is it sweet or bitter? Was it sweet or bitter? Or bitter sweet?
Some people like sweet. Some people like bitter. I like bitter sweet and I bet I will buy Mon Cheri this evening and have a glass of Campari Orange.
